FASHION BACKGROUND
Whether it be interior design, consumer product design, or fashion design, with more than 11 years of experience, Melissa Biggs has done it all. In 1998 when not modeling, Melissa worked at a major interior design firm.
She apprenticed with some of the most respected and
accomplished world-class designers.
In 2004 Melissa founded MacyJane Enterprises, Inc., a design firm of her own, focusing on business development and consumer product design. She mentored under good friend, Paul Marciano, CEO of Guess? Inc., and took a 20 million dollar consumer product line to Shanghai, China, where out of 150,000 vendors, she won the award for best presentation at the Wal*Mart Buyers Convention.
In 2006 and now eager to reinvent herself yet again, Melissa set out to design the perfect T-shirt and viola, P.G.D. Style was born. Her vision led to an upscale and luxurious label known for its ultra soft fabrics and supreme couture fit. The collection soon caught the eye of old friend Paul Marciano, and during her first week in business, his company, Guess? Inc. placed a hundred thousand dollar order for Melissa to create and design a private label collection for them as well. Thanks to Melissa's creative eye and determination, in just over a year P.G.D. Style ended up in hundreds of boutiques and was exploding all over the world.
